Cell Counter
Web tool · runs in the browser, works on a phone at the bench
A haemocytometer counter. Tap the grid to tally live and dead cells, set the trypan blue and sample dilution factors, and it returns cells/mL, live cells/mL and viability. A seeding calculator then works out the volume needed for a target cell number.
What it works out
cells/mL = mean count per large square × dilution × 104
Chamber depth 0.1 mm, large square 1 mm². Count four or five squares, aim for 20–50 cells in each.
Reagents, protocols and data
All of it on request, with no form to fill in and no embargo on anything already published. Say which paper and which reagent, and we will send what we have.
